Have you recently moved? Then your walls must be bare! Nothing makes your new space feel like “home” than seeing your artwork, mirrors, and family photos on the walls. We can assist you in finding the perfect spot for all your accessories in your new house, condo, or apartment. Avoid disagreements with your significant other about how high things should be hung by having a professional install your items for you.
Are you ready to redecorate? Or would you like a fresh look but do not have the budget for all new furniture? Let us rearrange your existing artwork and/or furniture. Whether working with new pieces or with what you already have, we can help. You may have the right thing, but just in the wrong place or hung at the wrong height. By rearranging your artwork, photos, furniture, and mirrors, we can create a whole new exciting feel to your space. One of the comments we often hear is “I would have never thought to put that there. It looks amazing!” When we hear that, then we know we’ve done our job well.
Is it time to downsize? We assist our clients by reviewing their artwork, photos and keepsakes in their current home to get a sense of what carries the most meaning as well as what will realistically fit in their new, smaller residence. Then, we make suggestions for placement. This is a specialty of Birdhill Design. Sometimes changes in living location can be very emotional. It helps to have your favorite artwork and photos on the walls in your new residence to make that transition far more natural. Plus, it sets the stage for a whole new and exciting chapter in your life!

Ashley Bird brings her design “eye” to the team with over 29 years of visual design experience. She is a graduate from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth where she received a BFA in Visual Design. After working many years as a graphic designer in the corporate world, she started a freelance design business. Her clients run the spectrum from real estate, architectural, technology, and magazine companies to book design and production for independent authors. With her study of interior design and the art of Feng Shui, she provides a fantastic balance to the Birdhill Design team.
Kevin and Ashley have been partners in life and in business for 25 years. They both grew up in artistic families—Kevin’s mother was a fine artist and interior decorator; Ashley’s father is also a fine artist and an architect. They were married in an art museum in Massachusetts—which was the perfect setting to start their creative life together.
In 2020, Kevin and Ashley moved back to Ashley’s hometown, Charlotte, NC, in order to be closer to family and friends. They are thrilled to be living and running their business in a city that truly values the Arts as a vital part of a healthy and happy community.
